Secondary title: Scientific literacy and curriculum in special school
Secondary abstract: Natural science is important for all pupils, but especially for pupils with special needs. It improves their weaknesses and special needs: perception, cognition, memory and social skills. This diploma focuses on some of the factors that may have an impact on the quality of teaching in special schools. These factors are related to the curriculum, teachers' knowledge of science and their perception of scientific literacy. The first research focuses on the topics in the curriculum that are the most difficult to teach. In the second research we focused on how well do the students of special pedagogics percept scientific literacy and if the study had any impact on their perception. We used two different questionaires for these researches. The sample for the first one were teachers at special schools, the sample for the second research were students of special pedagogics in the 1st and 4th year of colledge. Third research is dedicated to the analysis of operational objectives in the curriculum for nine years of science, in which we analized mistakes that cause teachers difficulties. We couldn't perform a thorough analysis for the first research due to a lack of the participants in the sample. Results of the second research showed that students don't have a good perception of what scientific literacy really is. In the curriculum we found a lot of errors, non-defined objectives and so on. We believe that students of the special pedagogics should acquire more scientific knowledge during the study and also expand their perception of scientific literacy. Also the curriculum must be corrected in order to enable quality teaching.

Abstract (ePrints): Naravoslovje je pomembno za vse učence, še posebej za učence s posebnimi potrebami, saj ciljno deluje na razvijanje njihovih šibkih področij: zaznavnih, kognitivnih, spominskih in socialnih spretnosti ter sposobnosti. Diplomsko delo se osredotoča na nekatere dejavnike, ki lahko vplivajo na kakovost poučevanja naravoslovja specialnega in rehabilitacijskega pedagoga na osnovnih šolah s prilagojenim programom z nižjim izobrazbenim standardom. Ti dejavniki so vezani predvsem na učni načrt za naravoslovje, vsebinsko znanje naravoslovja učiteljev ter njihovo pojmovanje naravoslovne pismenosti. V diplomskem delu smo raziskovali, katere teme so za specialne in rehabilitacijske pedagoge, ki učijo na osnovnih šolah s prilagojenim programom z nižjim izobrazbenim standardom, za poučevanje najzahtevnejše. Druga raziskava je bila namenjena ugotavljanju, kako široko pojmujejo naravoslovno pismenost študenti specialne in rehabilitacijske pedagogike v 1. in v 4. letniku in ali je imel študij opaznejši vpliv na njihovo pojmovanje. V tretji raziskavi smo analizirali učne cilje v učnih načrtih za naravoslovje za prilagojeni izobraževalni program z nižjim izobrazbenim standardom. Dobili smo vpogled v teme, ki se zdijo učiteljem na osnovnih šolah s prilagojenim programom z nižjim izobrazbenim standardom za poučevanje najzahtevnejše, vendar pa je bil vzorec za podrobnejšo analizo in interpretacijo premajhen. Rezultati druge raziskave so pokazali, da študenti specialne in rehabilitacijske pedagogike naravoslovno pismenost pojmujejo dokaj ozko, njihova pojmovanja se ne razlikujejo bistveno od pojmovanj študentov razrednega pouka. V učnih načrtih smo našli veliko pomanjkljivosti glede operativnosti ciljev, slovnične ustreznosti in ponavljanja učnih ciljev. Ugotovili smo, da bi morali študenti specialne in rehabilitacijske pedagogike v času študija usvojiti več vsebinskega naravoslovnega znanja ter razširiti pojmovanje o naravoslovni pismenosti. Prav tako je pomembno, da se učni načrt za naravoslovje popravi in tako omogoča kvalitetnejše poučevanje.
