Secondary title: Nine-pin bowling first and second triad primary school
Secondary abstract: The purpose of the study was to determine how to integrate nine-pin bowling in primary school lessons. We focused on the elementary level of primary school. We were also interested in teachers knowledge of nine-pin bowling, their opinion on the inclusion of this sport in the curriculum at elementary level in primary schools and possible ways of performing the inclusion. The survey included 113 teachers at elementary level who filled in a questionnaire. We calculated frequency and the relative frequency of responses. We have found out that teachers and pupils are not familiar with nine-pin bowling and they don’t know the difference between ninepins, bowling or bowls, do not know the rules and difference between the three sports as well. Most teachers have already been to the nine-pin bowling alley and played it. The teachers: • think that ninepins could be integrated into the lessons of physical education at elementary level of primary school. Most teachers think that it is feasible in physical education lessons, in sports day and in extracurricular activities, • some exercises for coordination and accuracy of movements that are similar to those of bowling have already been practising in physical education lessons, • have second thoughts about such integration, because of high costs and think they have lack of time, • think that the bowling club does not do enough for the presentation of bowling to the pupils and also to the adult. This can be improved, • think, that the management of the school and the bowling club does not do enough for cooperation. Very little schools organized a sports day, an extracurricular or any other activity at the bowling alley.

Abstract (ePrints): Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti, kako vključiti kegljanje v pouk osnovne šole. Izračunali smo frekvence in relativne frekvence odgovorov.
