Secondary abstract:	My diploma research represents a historical overview of the most important revolts in Slovenia with special emphasis on the Tolmin peasant revolt. In 2013 passing by three hundred years of this great revolt, which is one of the most important milestones of our nation because it represents a long-lasting struggle of the peasant population. This diploma includes peasant revolts from the 15th to 18th century. In the beginning of theoretical work I described the life of a farmer in the Middle Ages, reasons for the revolts and the load that weld and feudal people impose them. Diploma briefly presents five most important and biggest peasant revolts. Also Slovenian revolts in 2013 are presented with some available literature and events related to the anniversary. In the practical part, I conducted a survey in order to verify the knowledge of pupils and teachers about their local history. Through interviews, I realized how much they know about their local history. Pupils and teachers know key facts about the important milestone in history that is associated with their home town. The Tolmin peasant revolt still has big influence on town Tolmin, because it had strong affect on their citizen.

Abstract (ePrints):	Diplomska naloga predstavlja zgodovinski pregled najpomembnejših kmečkih uporov na Slovenskem s posebnim poudarkom na tolminskem kmečkem uporu. V letu 2013 mineva tristoletnica tega t. i. vélikega upora, ki je ena pomembnejših prelomnic našega naroda, saj predstavlja dolgo trajajoč boj kmečkega prebivalstva. Diploma obsega kmečke upore od 15. do vključno 18. stoletja. Na začetku teoretičnega dela opisuje življenje kmeta v srednjem veku, razloge za upore, ter bremena, ki so jim jih nalagali. Na kratko predstavi pet najpomembnejših in največjih kmečkih uporov. Zapisano je tudi dogajanje v letu 2013, predstavljeni so dostopna literatura in dogodki, ki so povezani z obletnico. V empiričnem delu sem izvedla raziskavo z namenom, da bi preverila znanje učencev o njihovi krajevni zgodovini. Preko anket, ki sem jih razdelila tudi med učitelje, sem ugotovila, koliko vedo o svoji lokalni zgodovini. Učenci in učitelji poznajo ključna dejstva o pomembni prelomnici v zgodovini, ki je povezana z njihovim domačim krajem. Tolminski kmečki upor ima za Tolmin veliko vlogo, saj je močno zaznamoval njegove prebivalce.
