Abstract

V diplomski nalogi so predstavljena gorska kolesa, ki imajo nameščeno sprednje in zadnje vzmetenje ter opisne prednosti, ki jih omogoča zadnje vzmetenje. Opisani so problemi, ki jih povzroča zadnje vzmetenje. Prav tako so predstavljeni različni tipi koles s sprednjim in zadnjim vzmetenjem ter opisane njihove prednosti, pomanjkljivosti ter področje uporabe. Povzete so tudi študije, ki so jih opravili različni strokovnjaki. Med te spadajo računalniške simulacije in izračuni ter eksperimenti v laboratoriju ali na terenu. Izdelal sem tudi računalniški model kolesa za vsakdanje kolesarjenje ter ga analiziral. Za izračun optimalne geometrije ter nastavitev parametrov amortizerja so uporabljene optimizacijske metode.

Secondary title: Analysis and improvement of a mountain bike
Secondary abstract: In this diploma thesis, mountain bikes with installed front and rear suspension are introduced. Advantages of bicycles with rear suspension are described, as well as problems that rear suspension may cause. Different types of bicycles with front and rear suspension are introduced; their advantages, disadvantages and the area of use are described. Studies, carried out by different experts, are summoned. Among these are: computer simulations, calculations and experiments performed in the laboratory or on the terrain. I created a computer model of the bicycle for every day use and analysed it. I used optimization methods in order to calculate optimal geometry and the setting of the shock absorber.
