The thesis "The relationship between colour surface and format in painting" deals with the question of color, breakthrough of orthogonal format outside the rectangular frame and the relationship between them. It is divided into three categories: theoretical, practical and empirical. The first chapter explains what the color actually is, how we see, experience and use it. Additionally, it explains what the format is and what is the internal structure of the orthogonal format along with the breakthrough outside the rectangular frame. Furthermore, it explores the composition and investigates what role can the color have in the breakthrough of composition beyond the orthogonal format. In the second chapter I present my own work, the technique I used, the development of the work and the visual analysis of it. In the third part in one of the assignments I illustrated how to adjust the tasks to differently aged students. I highlighted two different views on students with special needs, which include both students with disabilities as well as gifted students. Special attention is given to the autistic student and his socialisation in the group observed along with a gifted preschool girl. I analysed their development in the field of paint, drawing, plastic sculpture and choice of a motif in a period of three years. |
