The diploma thesis defines the role of social pedagogue in prison. It is presented from the perspective of an expert working for the prison system and marks the job description and duties of the counsellor - educator, as this is the workplace to which the social pedagogue can apply to. Simultaneously the thesis emphasizes other important situations the expert is faced with in his or work (phenomenon of underground movement, psychological hygiene care, supervision, intervision, team work). The diploma thesis seeks to demonstrate that social pedagogue is a suitable and competent profile for working in prison, precisely because of the social pedagogical theoretical concepts, which social pedagogues implement in their work and through which one can reach and achieve reintegration – the reintegration of the individual into the environment – which is also the goal of professional treatment of prisoners. The suitability of the social pedagogue is well founded precisely on the basis of the analysis of two conducted interviews, the results of which are presented in the empirical part. Analysis of the interviews in conjunction with the theoretical part, in particular on the basis of job descriptions of educational services and consultant – teacher, and competencies of graduates of social pedagogic, justifies the appropriateness of the profile of social pedagogue in prison, because social pedagogue is an expert, who along with the prisoners co-creates and actualizes the objectives of professional treatment. At the same time social pedagogue implements the concept of social pedagogy (orientation in the living space, the principle of co-creation, team collaboration, awareness of the importance of taking care of themselves, supervision meetings, a reflection of the work process ... .) in practice, by wich consequently affects other experts, because it extends the concept of working with users, as social pedagogy combines different scientific disciplines (psychology, sociology, philosophy, social policy and social work, education ... .) and thus offers the possibility of a broader treatment of individuals. |
