Secondary abstract:	The thesis investigates and looks into the field of Pop Art, which has marked the second half of the 20th century in its diversity and manifests as a part of a contemporary conceptual art even in the present day. The so-called classical comic strip has reached its peak at the same time, therefore the connection between Pop Art and comic art is expected and logical. The chosen works of the painter Roy Lichtenstein are also a part of this story in which I have found the inspiration for my own art project. »Comics as a painting« offers diversity of researches in the field of art and in the field of education as well as in understanding the social changes.
