Secondary title: Importance of Goethe's triangle in art education
Secondary abstract: Colour circles are basic colour models that play an important role in art education. Pupils encounter colour circles as early as in elementary school, where colour circles represent basic models for categorisation of colours. In colour theory we distinguish between artistic colour circles and physical (scientific) colour circles. One of the most explicit and systematic artistic colour circles is Goethe's triangle. In this thesis I therefore investigate its importance in art education. The thesis is devided in two parts: theoretical and pedagogical. In the theoretical part I researched historical and theoretical background of Goethe's triangle. I mention some of the important historical persons and events that have influenced its formation. Then I analyze theoretical problems that are systematized by Goethe's triangle and based on these I format some didactic recommendations for its use in art education. I also explore the current role of Goethe's triangle in art education in elementary school. In the pedagogical part I prepare a lesson on Goethe's triangle for 6th grade of elementary school, where I give a special emphasis on tertiary colours.
