Abstract

Namen diplomskega dela je omogočiti otrokom neposredno prepoznavanje in spoznavanje snovi, s katerimi se srečujejo vsak dan, in jim omogočiti, da doživijo raziskovalno učenje kot prijeten in zanimiv način pridobivanja informacij z lastno aktivnostjo. Ciljna zasnova projekta je bila, da otroci s pomočjo praktičnega dela pridejo do novih izkušenj in odkritij in da razvijejo specifične naravoslovne spretnosti in sposobnosti. V teoretičnem delu smo podrobneje predstavili raziskovalno učenje, na katerem temelji projektno delo. V empiričnem delu smo predstavili projekt z naslovom "Raziskovanje snovi in njihovih lastnosti (predšolsko obdobje)", ki je bil izveden v skupini otrok, starih od pet do šest let. Projekt je potekal pet dni, za vsak dan smo podali opis izvedbe z analizami in osnovnimi ugotovitvami. Načrtovan in izveden projekt je otrokom omogočil raziskovanje snovi z lastno aktivnostjo, reševanje problemov in razvijanje sposobnosti pridobivanja, razumevanja in urejanja novih informacij.

Secondary abstract: The purpose of the thesis is to provide children with an opportunity to independently recognise and explore substances they see every day and enable them to experience inquiry-based learning as a pleasant and interesting way of gaining information through their own activity. The thesis is based on the idea that children can acquire new experience and discover things through practical activities and thus develop scientific skills and abilities. The theoretical part provides insight into inquiry-based learning, which is also the foundation of the project. The empirical part involves the project entitled "Exploring substances and their characteristics (preschool period)", which was conducted in a group of children aged from five to six years. It lasted for five days. The thesis contains a description of the implementation as well as analyses and basic findings for each individual day. This project that we planned and implemented helped the children to explore substances through their own activity, solve problems and develop the ability to acquire, understand and sort new information.
