Abstract

Secondary title: Designing and processing of geodetic network for detecting of possible movements at the Melje Small HPP
Secondary abstract: The Melje Small Hydro Power Plant (HPP) was built at the Melje dam on the Drava River to exploit the biological minimum. This resulted in change of balance at the spilling wall of the Zlatoličje HPP supply channel. To determine stability in the wall, a ground anchor was built. The ground anchor force was greater than expected, thus the investor tried to check the stability of the spilling wall with the help of geodetic measurements. Our task was to develop a geodetic network, which would detect any possible displacements of points built in the spilling wall. We determined the optimal geometry of the geodetic network by using simulations. All the instruments and the geodesy equipment were selected to ensure accuracy of measurement. Geodetic network was measured twice and afterwards the least square adjustments were calculated. The thesis explains into detail the theory, which includes geodetic as well as non-geodetic procedures, as well as the calculations. At the end, we calculated horizontal and vertical displacements of network points and used statistical analysis to evaluate these displacements. On the basis of the analysis we tried to sum up the results and offer the investor a few recommendations.
