Abstract
V diplomski nalogi smo proučevali trenutno stanje oziroma status mladih na trgu dela v občini Novo mesto, ravnanje z mladimi na trgu delovne sile in izboljšave, za katere predvidevamo, da bi lahko mladim olajšale vstop v zaposlitev.
V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili temeljne pojme trga delovne sile, mladine, zaposljivosti, zaposlovanja in zaposlenosti ter brezposelnosti. Opisali smo še teoretični vidik položaja mladih na trgu dela; njihove značilnosti, prehod iz šolanja v zaposlitev, dejavnike, ki vplivajo na zaposlovanje mladih, stanje zaposlenosti in aktivnosti mladih, mladinsko brezposelnost, njihov položaj na trgih delovne sile v državah EU, študentsko delo ter osipnike. Nadalje smo osvetlili urejanje položaja mladih na trgu delovne sile, kjer smo posebej izpostavili zloglasno aktivno politiko zaposlovanja ter tri glavne načine načrtovanega prehoda iz izobraževanja v zaposlitev: štipendiranje, pripravništvo in vajeništvo.
V empiričnem delu smo analizirali podatke anketnih vprašalnikov in pridobili vpogled v sedanje stanje zaposlenosti, brezposelnosti, delovnih izkušenj, izobrazbe, motiviranosti in sposobnosti mladih, starih 18–26 let, v Novem mestu. Tu smo testirali hipoteze, ki smo jih na podlagi dobljenih rezultatov raziskave sprejeli oziroma zavrnili.
Na koncu diplomske naloge smo opisali sklepe, do katerih smo prišli tekom raziskave ter predloge, ki bi poleg aktivne politike zaposlovanja izboljšali položaj mlade delovne sile tako v občini Novo mesto kot drugod po Sloveniji.

In this BA thesis we studied the current state and/or the status of youth in the labour market in the municipality Novo mesto, the treatment of youth in the employment market and the improvements for which we anticipate that they could ease the entry of youth into employment.
In the theoretical part, we presented essential conceptions of the employment market, youth, employability, employment and unemployment. We described several theoretical viewpoints of the position of youth in the employment market. Further, we illustrated the youth characteristics, the transfer from education into employment, factors that influence the employment of youth, the state of their current employment and their activity, the unemployment of youth, their position in employment markets in states of the European Union, student labour and also the drop - outs. In addition, we highlighted the regulation of the position of youth in the employment market, where we especially emphasized the notorious active employment policy and three principal means of the planned transition from education into employment: scholarships, probationary and apprenticeship.
In the empirical part, we analysed the data that we obtained from the questionnaires and at the same time, we acquired the insight into a current state in the field of employment, unemployment, working experiences, education, motivation and the capabilities of youth, aged from 18 to 26 years old, located in Novo mesto. In this part, we also tested our hypotheses that were confirmed or rejected on the basis of the obtained results of the research.
Finally, we described the conclusions that were acquired during the research and the proposals that would, beside the active employment policy, help improve the situation of the young workforce, both in the Novo mesto municipality as well as in other places in Slovenia.
