Abstract

Secondary title: THE ROLE OF PARENTS IN DEVELOPING CHILDREN'S MOTOR ABILITIES
Secondary abstract: In the diploma work The parental role at evolving children motor abilities a survey was used in order to establish how often the parents practise sports with their children, what sport activities are the most common, what prevent them to take part regularly in children sport activities, how many children is included in organised sports training and are the parents aware of importance of motor/sport activities at child's development in different fields? In the theoretical part we have introduced a motoric development and abilities, bodily characteristics and children development, the importance of physical activities on child's integral development and the importance of family environment for a child's phyisical development. The empirical part consists of anonymous questionnaire on the strength of which we have established that the parents are aware the importance of motor/sport activities for a child regardless to their age or education. Many parents from rural environment is physical active with their children several times per week; there is few children registered at organized sports trainings which is not surprising according to the environment; the most common activity is ball games and mothers are mostly more active with their children than fathers.
