Abstract
V gradbeništvu ter arhitekturi je računalniška vizualizacija objektov pred gradnjo ključnega pomena.Vizualizacija omogoča investitorju predstavitev še nezgrajenega objekta. Kadar objekt vizualiziramo z zlitjem resničnega okolja in računalniškega 3D modela govorimo o nadgrajeni resničnosti. V okviru naše naloge smo se odločili za uporabo 3D modela kapelice na Piramidi v Mariboru. Model smo uporabili v raziskavi možnosti uporabe tehnologije nadgrajene resničnosti v gradbeništvu.V raziskavi nas je zanimal pregled in razvoj tehnologij za nadgrajeno resničnost, pomen tehnologije za gradbeništvo, izdelava primera za uporabo na mobilnih napravah, ter analiza izkušenj in omejitev za nadaljno raziskovalno delo na tem področju.

Use of augmented reality in civil engineering |
Secondary abstract: |
Computer visualisation of designed unbuilt structures in civil engineering and arhitecture is important, for it enables the investor a good presentation of his investment. Use of computer-visualised, 2D and 3D models, presented as overlays over the real world view is called augmented reality. We have decided to augment a 3D model of a small chappel located on the hill Piramida in Maribor. With the usage of the model and the technology of augmented reality we wanted to portray the possibilites of such usage in the field of civil engineering and architecture. In our research we were particulary interested in the overall development of the augmented reality technologies, the benefits of its use in civil engineering, and being able to develop a working augmented reality experience on a mobile device. The report ends with an analysis of the experiencesgained and a discussion of the boundaries to overcome in this particular field. |
