Secondary abstract: | The thesis addresses the possibilities of exploiting architectonic barriers to improve the effectiveness of wind turbines in an urban environment. For this purpose a CFD simulation was carried out on the basis of the Ansys program package. An optimal position for the placement of a small scale wind turbine on the building was determined and the surcharges of harnessed energy evaluated. It was confirmed that wind energy can effectively be used also in an urban environment. The CFD simulation indicated that a building placed at a specific location has a positive impact on wind spead conditions and subsequently enhances the effectiveness of wind turbines. The thesis also outlines certain problems and deficiencies. |
