Secondary abstract: | Renewable energy is gaining on popularity and importance, as a result of ecological dangers of fossil fuel usage. With constant improvements in renewable energy technology we can lower the negative effects on our environment. Wood biomass represents one of the most important renewable energy sources as we can produce electric energy as well as heat energy. Important wood biomass products are wood pellets which are by many described as the fuel of the future. Because of the great importance of comfort and automation of heating we have to turn our attention to devices that enable a continuous and undisturbed flow of fuel to heating devices on wood pellets. This undergraduate thesis presents pneumatic conveying systems and their usage in wood pellets transportation. The last chapter presents a transportation device concept for wood pellets conveying from large pellet tanks to wood boilers. |
