Abstract

Glavni cilj diplomskega dela je odkriti povezave med šolskim znanjem o prehrani in prebavilih ter njegovo uporabo v vsakdanjem življenju. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljeni operativni cilji, ki se dotikajo diplomskega dela, ter pregled opravljenih raziskav, povezanih s to tematiko. V raziskavo so bili vključeni učenci osmih in devetih razredov šestih osnovnih šol iz občine Brežice. S pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika smo ugotovili, da učenci faktografsko znanje usvojijo, medtem ko je pridobljeno znanje, kjer je potrebno izkazati višje kognitivne cilje, šibko. Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da učenci ne znajo kritično oceniti informacij, ki jih zasledijo v medijih. Razlike med osmošolci in devetošolci ter fanti in dekleti niso bile velike, medtem ko so se rezultati med šolami razlikovali. Naša ugotovitev je, da ima največjo vlogo pri podajanju uporabnega znanja za življenje učitelj, ki lahko učencem snov predstavi na način, ki jih pritegne, jih motivira ter v njih vzbudi radovednost za samostojno raziskovanje.

Secondary title: Eight and nine year elementary school pupils' nutricion and digestion knowledge quality
Secondary abstract: The main objective of this diploma thesis is to find out a correlation between school knowledge about nutrition and digestive organs and its usage in every day life. Operative goals and reviews about done researches are presented in a theoretical part. The research was made among eighth and ninth grade students from six primary schools in the municipality of Brežice. With the help of a questionnaire we discovered that the knowledge that has to be memorized is well adopted by the students, whereas the knowledge with higher cognitive goals is weak. The results also show that the students are not capable to critically estimate the information from the media. The differences between eighth and ninth grade students and between boys and girls were not significant, while the results between schools showed the difference. Our findings showed the importance of teachers, who can present applicable knowledge to students in an attractive, stimulating way and encourage them to explore on their own.
