Abstract

Pripravo 3D modela smo izvedli s programom PTC Creo Elements/Direct Modeling. Določanje robnih pogojev, obremenitev in lastnosti materiala, mreženje, izvedba analiz ter njihovo vrednotenje je potekalo s programom PTC Creo Elements/Pro (Pro/ENGINEER). Na podlagi rezultatov trdnostih analiz smo potrdili nosilnost konstrukcije. Pomemben del magistrskega dela predstavlja primerjava med analitično in računalniško analizo za določitev trdnosti izbranega segmenta konstrukcije, s katero smo dokazali, da računalniška analiza zahteva razumevanje problematike. Cilj magistrskega dela smo dosegli, saj so bile primerjalne napetosti po Misesu in pomiki v dopustnih mejah.

Secondary title: Numerical analysis of the rotational tower for continually casting
Secondary abstract: Rotational tower is a device that enables the process of continually casting of steel without stopping. The purpose of master thesis is to determine the driving mechanisms of the rotational tower and to perform strength control of construction. First part of the thesis presents determination of basic components of moving mechanisms such as: toothed ring bearings, linear servo motors, planetary gears and hydro-engines for planetary gear drive. Those components were selected on the basis of analytical calculations from produces catalogues. In the second part of master thesis the preparation of a 3D model for analysis was performed during individual phases and the strength control of rotational tower was determined using computer programs. Preparation of 3D model was performed using the PTC Creo Elements/Direct Modeling programme. Determination of boundary conditions, loads and material’s properties, meshing, performance of analysis, and their evaluation were carried out using Creo Elements/Pro (Pro/ENGINEER) programme. The load capacity of the construction was confirmed based on the obtained results of the strength analyses. An important part of the master thesis presents a comparison between the analytical and computer analysis to determine the strength of the selected segment of construction, which demonstrated that computer analysis requires understanding of the problem. The objective of master thesis was achieved since the comparative tensions after Mises and shifts were within the permitted limits.
