Abstract

Magistrsko delo obravnava način dostopa in izbire železniških postajališč uporabnikov potniškega železniškega prevoza v suburbanem okolju Slovenije. Za razumevanje dejavnikov dostopnosti do postajališč smo oblikovali dva modela. Prvi predvideva ugotavljanje prostorske dostopnosti do železniških postajališč z analizo vplivnih območij (angl. buffer analysis), drugi pa način dostopa do postaje in izbire vstopne postaje z metodo drevesnega logit modela (angl. nestet logit model) iz skupine GEV (angl. generalized extreme value) modelov. Podatke za modela smo pridobili z anketo neposrednega intervjuja na postajah, s katero smo ugotavljali obstoječe preference potnikov glede načina dostopa in izbire postajališča (ang. revealed preferences survey). S pomočjo drevesnega logit modela (angl. nestet logit model) smo ocenili vpliv posamičnih dejavnikov dostopnosti na verjetnost izbire vstopne postaje oz. načina dostopa do nje. Razumevanje dejavnikov odločanja potnikov, ki vplivajo na izbiro odhodne postaje in način dostopa do nje, ima več praktičnih posledic za oblikovanje politik za upravljanje železniškega potniškega prometa.

Secondary title: MODELLING ACCESS MODE CHOICE AND RAILWAY STATION CHOICE
Secondary abstract: This master thesis deals with access modes and railway station choices of railway passenger in suburban environment in Slovenia. For understanding the factors of accessibility to stations we designed two models; the first predicts the determination of space accessibility to railway stations with analysis of impact areas (buffer analysis), and the second access modes and station choices with the tree logit model (nested logit model) from the GEV model group (generalized extreme value). We gathered the information for both models with direct interview surveys on railway stations. We wanted to determine existing preferences of passengers regarding their access modes and station choice (revealed preferences survey). With the tree logit model (nested logit model) we evaluated the influence of different factors of accessibility on selection of station choice or access modes. Understanding the factors that make passengers decide upon the choice of departure station and the access toward it, implies more practical suggestions for the management of railway passenger traffic policies.
