Abstract

Namen diplomskega dela z naslovom » Funkcionalizacija materialov z uporabo TiO2 nano-struktur« je bilo proučevanje UV prepustnosti obdelanih tkanin s potencialnim UV absorberjem titanovega dioksida (TiO2 ) po izčrpalnem postopku. Istočasno sem ugotavljala ali ima TiO2 sredstvo tudi učinek samočistilnosti na uporabljenih materialih. Analizirala sem dve različni tkanini, ki so bile izdelane iz čistega bombaža in mešanice bombaž /poliester. Vsem vzorcem sem izmerila tudi UV prepustnost in UPF faktor na spektrofotometru. Ugotovila sem, da lahko po izčrpalnem postopku obdelave tkanine zvišamo UV zaščito. Uporabljen UV absorber titanovega dioksida se je pri raziskavi pokazal kot dobro sredstvo za UV zaščito, še posebej pri obdelavi bombažnih materialov.

Secondary abstract: The purpose of thesis entitled “Functionalization of materials using TiO2 nano-structures” has been studying the UV permeability of processed fabrics with potential UV absorber of titanium dioxide (TiO2) after depletion process. At the same time I examined whether the TiO2 medium has also self-cleaning effect on used materials. I analyzed two different fabrics that were made of pure cotton and mixture of cotton/polyester. For each sample I measured UV permeability and UPF factor with the spectrophotometer. I found that after depletion process of fabric processing we can increase UV protection. The UV absorber of titanium dioxide used in the study proved to be a good tool for UV protection especially with the processing of cotton materials.
