Abstract

Bolnišnične okužbe so zaplet hospitalizacije in danes predstavljajo velik problem v zdravstvu. So kazalec kakovosti dela zdravstvenih delavcev. Diplomsko delo zajema opis bolnišničnih okužb, nastanek in načine prenosa ter preprečevanje bolnišničnih okužb. Raziskava je temeljila na kvantitativnem raziskovanju in dedukativni metodologiji. Z raziskavo, ki smo jo izvedli v Opći bolnici Varaždin smo ugotavljali, koliko so medicinske sestre in zdravstveni tehniki osveščeni o pogostosti bolnišničnih okužb, nastanku, načinih prenosa bolnišničnih okužb ter v kakršni meri upoštevaju standarde zdravstvene nege pri preprečevanju nastanka bolnišničnih okužb. Ugotovili smo, da se medicinske sestre in zdravstveni tehniki zavedajo, da so bolnišnične okužbe vse pogostejše, da so seznanjeni z načini prenosa, dejavniki tveganja, vendar jih še vedno veliko ne upošteva standardov zdravstvene nege glede umivanja in razkuževanja rok.

Secondary abstract: Hospital infections are complication of hospitalization and today they represent a major problem in health care. They are an indicator of the quality of work of health workers Diploma includes a description of hospital infections, ways they occur, transfer and how to prevent them. The study was based on quantitative research and deductiv method. The survey, which was conducted in the General hospital of Varaždin was used to determine how much are nurses and medical tehnicians informed about the incidence of hospital infection, how they occur, ways of transmission and how much they follow the standards of medical care for prevention the hospital infection. We found out that the nurses and medical technicians are aware that hospital infections are becoming more frequent. They are familiar with the methods of transmission, risk factors, but still a lot of nurses and medical technicians doesn`t follow the standards of medical care in relation of cleaning and disinfecting hands.
