Abstract

Namen diplomske naloge je bil z numerično optimizacijo določiti optimalni kot začetka tlačenja goriva dizelskega motorja MAN D 2566 MUM, pri uporabi čistega biodizelskega goriva, s ciljem zmanjšati škodljive emisije. Numerična optimizacija se je izvedla v točki 8 ESC testa z optimizacijskimi metodami Nelder-Mead, NLPQL, Levenberg-Marquardt in BFGS. Najboljše rezultate sta dali metodi NLPQL in Levenberg-Marquardt, medtem ko sta bili metodi Nelder-Mead in BFGS neuspešni pri iskanju optimalnega kota. Ugotovljeno je bilo majhno odstopanje rezultatov numerične optimizacije od eksperimentalno določenega optimalnega kota začetka tlačenja goriva za celoten ESC test, saj optimalni kot ni enak na vseh obratovalnih režimih.

Secondary abstract: The purpose of diploma work was to determine the optimal injection pump timing of diesel engine MAN D 2566 MUM with numerical optimization by using neat biodiesel fuel with the aim to reduce harmful emissions. Numerical optimization was carried out in mode 8 of the ESC test with optimization methods Nelder-Mead, NLPQL, Levenberg-Marquardt and BFGS. The best results were given by NLPQL and Levenberg-Marquardt methods, while Nelder-Mead and BFGS methods were unsuccessful in finding optimal injection pump timing. There was a small deviation of numerical optimization results compared to experimentally determined optimal injection pump timing for complete ESC test because the optimal injection pump timing is not the same at all engine operating regimes.
