Abstract

Leta 1995 je švedsko podjetje MySQL AB razvilo sistem za upravljanje s podatkovnimi bazami MySQL. Postal je svetovno najbolj priljubljena baza odprtega tipa, katere uporaba po zaslugi visoke zanesljivosti, hitrega delovanja, prilagojenosti in nenehnega razvoja še vedno strmo raste. Problem nastane, ko imamo veliko podatkovno bazo in dobimo prepočasno odzivnost za naše potrebe. Če želimo povečati odzivnost podatkovne baze MySQL, je treba nastaviti več dejavnikov. To so hitrost trdega diska, število trdih diskov, s katerih beremo podatke, način branja s trdih diskov, način uporabe pomnilnika, velikost procesorskega pomnilnika, struktura podatkovne baze in način zapisa SQL-povpraševanja.

Secondary abstract: In the year 1995 swedish company MySQL AB developed a system for managing databases MySQL. It became the world famous database free source, and because of its high reliability, fast working, adaptation and continuesly developmnet, the number of users is still growing. Problem occurs when we have a big database and it is not working fast enough for our needs. If we want a faster performance, we have to set hard disk speed, number of hard disks, the way we read from hard disks, the way we use memory, size of processor memory, database structure and SQL queries.
