Secondary title: | DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AMATEUR RADIO STATION USING SOFTWARE-DEFINED RADIO TECHNOLOGY |
Secondary abstract: | This thesis covers the design and implementation of an amateur radio station using software defined radio techniques, for high frequency (HF) and very high frequency (UHF) bands. Control of the system and transmission of digital audio signals is done with a microcontroller. Signals are digitally processed with a personal computer using freely available software. Received radio signal is converted to digital domain, digital signal for transmitting is converted in the opposite direction to analogue, and amplified before transmitting. The realised amateur radio station can be used for amateur radio communications using various modulations. |
