diplomsko delo univerzitetnega študija

Abstract

Secondary abstract: Subject of the thesis are groups, their development and the processes of group dynamics, with special emphasis on the importance of their course in team sports. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and methodological part. First, I will present the groups in general, their division and characteristics as well as differences between them and the teams, than I will continue with results, analysis and discussion of the questionnaires, which I have done for two of the most successful professional hockey clubs in Slovenia. I have chosen the subject because we monitor the year to year fluctuations in this sport which intrigued me to explore the extent to which players in clubs are connected to each other, how they get along and mostly how much and in what way they help their new team players who mostly come from foreign countries and know practically nothing about our way of life and Slovene hockey in general. To help me with this I will use two questionnaires – one for the Slovene players and the other for foreigners playing in our clubs. This will enable me to obtain opinions and experience from both sides and compare them with the theory on the formation, development and fate of groups.
