diplomsko delo univerzitetnega študijskega programa
Abstract

SIMULATION OF I-V CHARACTERISTICS OF A SOLAR MODULE UNDER EFFECTS OF SHADING |
| Secondary abstract: |
This diploma thesis presents a procedure for the simulation of solar modules. It focuses on the effects of various parameters such as irradiation, ambient temperature and uneven solar radiation across the module. It presents how to use the single diode model in Matlab/Simulink in order to determine the operational parameters of single cells and the I-V characteristic of the module at various operating conditions. Firstly, data had to be gathered by measurements performed on a commercial photovoltaic module under different shading patterns. A model of a solar panel that consideres the effects of uneven solar radiation across the module, changing irradiation and temperature has been built. The proposed model is confirmed through the comparison of measured and calculated I-V characteristics. |
