Abstract

V soglasniškem sistemu so največ sprememb doživeli zvočniki. Na oblikoslovni ravnini je največ sprememb pri prehodu srednjespolskih samostalnikov v samostalnike moškega spola, nekaj sprememb je tudi pri oblikospreminjevalnih vzorcih. Besedje velenjskega govora je dokaj enotno. Veliko je germanizmov, a se jih, zaradi vpliva knjižnega jezika, rabi vse manj.

Secondary title: Phonological and morphological characteristics of the Velenje speech
Secondary abstract: In this diploma paper phonological and morphological characteristics, as well as vocabulary, of the local speech of Velenje are represented. A lot of the research was based on the list of questions for the Slovenian Linguistic Atlas (Slovenski lingvistični atlas - SLA), audio record of free speech and on my personal knowledge of the speech. Based on the material gathered and specialized literature, the Velenje speech was placed in its dialectal region, phonological analysis was done, which includes the stress, the vowel and consonant systems, the origin and the development of certain sounds, and the morphology of the speech, with the dialectal features of individual parts of speech. The Velenje speech belongs to the Central Savinja dialect which is the part of the bigger Styrian dialect group. The Velenje speech is a transitional dialect based on the interaction between the Styrian and Upper Carniola dialects. The speech has a dynamic accent, shortly stressed vowels, except for a reduced vowel, which got longer. The vowel system is monophthongal. In the consonant system voiced consonants underwent the biggest changes. The neuter gender was changed into masculine gender and there are some changes of the word-formation patterns that can be seen on the morphological level. Vocabulary of the Velenje speech is quite unified. There are many Germanisms which are, due to the influence of the literary language, spoken less and less.
