Abstract

PM10 delci so nevarni zaradi njihovega globokega in neopaznega prodiranja v človeško telo.

Secondary title: Impact of traffic on pollution with PM10 in countries of European Union
Secondary abstract: PM10 particles are dangerous because of their deep and unnoticed penetration into the human body. The sources of these particles are closely related to the human daily routines, such as use of diesel- or gasoline-powered vehicles, home heating, and also to industry. In this thesis we discuss the problem of PM10 particle pollution in EU countries, especially in the field of transport. It presents EU countries that are facing this problem on a daily basis and other countries that are starting to face this problem. The thesis also presents the measures that help with reducing the concentration of PM10 particles in the atmosphere. It describes already-established directives, which are being implemented by EU countries. Also, this thesis introduces new, unknown and not-yet-established measures that could help with improving the air quality.
