Abstract

Diplomsko delo prikazuje študijo kemijske sestave vodnega kamna, katerega glavna komponenta je kalcijev karbonat. Prav tako zajema tudi obarjanje kalcijevega karbonata kot primarne komponente vodnega kamna in problematiko izločanja vodnega kamna na grelcih grelnika vode. Obloge vodnega kamna smo skušali zmanjšati z uporabo permanentnih magnetov s t. i. magnetno obdelavo vode. Izvedli smo eksperimente pri različnih pretočnih hitrostih vode skozi magnetno napravo z uporabo magnezijeve katodne zaščite in vzporedno brez njene prisotnosti. Ugotovili smo, da pri naših pretočnih hitrostih in povprečni temperaturi ni bistvene razlike med magnetno obdelano in neobdelano vodo ter da magnezijeva katodna zaščita prav tako kaj dosti ne vpliva na količino izločenega vodnega kamna.

Secondary abstract: The diploma work shows study of the chemical composition of scale, whose main component is calcium carbonate. It also covers the precipitation of calcium carbonate as a primary component of the scale and the issue of elimination of scale in the boilers. We tried to reduce the scale using permanent magnets in a so-called magnetic treatment of water. We carried out experiments at different flow rates of water through the boiler using the magnesium cathodic protection, and in parallel, without its presence. We found that in our flow rates, and the average temperature is no significant difference in the magnetically treated water and in the ordinary and that the magnesium cathodic protection is also not much affective to the amount of scale precipitation.
