(diplomsko delo)
Abstract

MALPRACTICE IN ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION |
Secondary abstract: |
In this thesis are presented transplantation activities as a branch of medicine, its development in our country and the various legal and ethical barriers that have been associated with transplantation. Treatment with organ transplantation is very successful, but the number of transplanted organs is still low, as there is much less organs available than needed. We have also raised the problem of organ donation abuse which is likely to be one of the main reasons for the skeptical view of the transplant activity in our society. However, since man is a free and autonomous being who is capable of his own decisions, we have emphasized the importance of autonomy and the conditions that allow autonomy. One chapter is devoted to the legal basis governing organ donation in the Republic of Slovenia and it is a key area of this thesis. Due to increasing demand for organs some changes were made in legislation. We found that the transplantation activity in our country is well regulated and supervised, as well as in other countries, which are connected to the Eurotransplant, but nevertheless individual cases of abuse are found. |
