Abstract

Secondary title: Vehicular emission models
Secondary abstract: In Slovenian language there are not a lot of published materials talking about vehicular emission models. We decided to write about them in this thesis. Vehicular emission models are methods for calculating the level of pollutant emissions, regarding emission factors, average speed, acceleration, ambient temperature, engine load, fuel consumption, the amount of traffic on the defined type of road (urban, rural and roadway) etc.. It depends on what we want to calculate, what sort of data and how many data we have, and for what purpose results are needed. Different authors classify specific model types differently; some of them classify models according to the input parameters, others according to complexity of models, models could be also classified according to the size of the discussed area (e.g. single street, town, country etc.). With example we will show the use of the chosen model and check how speed and acceleration are affecting pollutants emission rate. We will define strengths, weaknesses and opportunities of the use of the chosen model according to example and find the solution for the exposed problem.
