Abstract

Prekomerna telesna teža in debelost poslabšata kakovost življenja, povečujeta obolevnost in skrajšujeta življenje. Debelost in prekomerna telesna teža sta posledica delovanja različnih dejavnikov, kot so: delovanje genske zasnove - genetski dejavnikih, vedenjskih, okoljskih in drugih dejavnikov. Z debelostjo so povezane naslednje bolezni: bolezni srca in ožilja, sladkorna bolezen tipa 2, različna rakava obolenja in številne druge. Preventivna skrb za zdravje je v boju pred debelostjo izrednega pomena - zdrav in uravnotežen način prehranjevanja, redna telesna aktivnost, obvladovanje stresa in poznavanje priporočil zdravega prehranjevanja. Zaradi sedečega načina življenja, prehitrega ritma življenja, tehnološkega napredka in stresnih situacij smo izpostavljeni pomanjkanju telesne aktivnosti, ki v veliki meri prispeva k preprečevanju prekomerne telesne teže in debelosti. Sodoben način prehranjevanja v veliki meri temelji na preobilno kalorični in premastni prehrani, ki vsebuje preveliko količino soli in sladkorjev.

Secondary title: The risk factors for overweight and obesity
Secondary abstract: Overweight and obesity affect the quality of life, increase morbidity and shortens life. Obesity and overweight are a result of various factors, such as the functioning of the genetic material - genetic factors, behavioral, environmental and other factors. Obesity has reached epidemic proportions, both in Europe and in other countries around the world, that is why there are at different levels of health care, numerous programs for weight management and awareness raising about seriousness of the problem. Obesity is not just a cosmetic problem, but also touches on a number of chronic non-contagious diseases that threaten our health. With obesity are linked following diseases: cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, various cancers and many others. Preventive health care is almost importance in the fight against obesity - a healthy and balanced diet, regular physical activity, stress management and knowledge of the recommendations for healthy eating. Due to a sedentary lifestyle, too fast life rhythm, technological advances and stress situations we are exposed to a lack of physical activity, which largely contributes to the prevention of overweight and obesity. The modern way of eating is largely based on an excess calorie and greasy food, which contains too much salt and sugar.
