Abstract

V diplomskem seminarju sem raziskala magnetne lastnosti vzorca z molekulsko formulo Cu_2 %(C_2 H_3 O_2)%_4 %(H_2 O)%_2. Izmerila sem magnetno susceptibilnost v odvisnosti od temperature pri konstantnem magnetnem polju in magnetizacijo v odvisnosti od magnetnega polja pri konstantni temperaturi. Eksperimentalne rezultate sem primerjala s teoretičnimi napovedmi Bleaney-Bowersovega modela in pojasnila, kako interakcije med sosednjimi bakrovimi ioni vplivajo na magnetne lastnosti materiala.

Secondary abstract: n the seminar I investigated the magnetic properties of a sample with the composition Cu_2 %(C_2 H_3 O_2)%_4 %(H_2 O)%_2. I measured the magnetic susceptibility as a function of temperature at constant magnetic field and the magnetization as a function of magnetic field at constant temperature. I compared the experimental results with the theoretical predictions of the Bleaney-Bowers model and explained the effect of interaction between the neighboring copper ions on the magnetic properties of the material.
