Abstract

Magistrsko delo se ukvarja s primerjavo sodobnega plakata z značilnostmi zgodovinskih obdobij v likovni umetnosti. Delo je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega dela, kjer so opisana načela pri oblikovanju sodobnih plakatov in analize razvoja plakata, od industrijske revolucije do danes. V empiričnem delu smo primerjali dva plakata, ki smo ju oblikovali sami, in dva naključno izbrana sodobna plakata z značilnostmi zgodovinskih stilov, na podlagi česar smo dognali, da sodobni plakati temeljijo na kombinacijah sodobnih načel oblikovanja in nekaterih načel, razvitih skozi zgodovino umetnosti, in da sledijo novim trendom. Z metodo intervjuja povprečnih in ekstremnih uporabnikov plakatov smo ugotovili tudi, da so plakati še vedno iskan, zaželen in učinkovit medij oglaševanja.

Secondary abstract: Master's thesis deals with the comparison of modern poster with characteristics of historical periods in the visual arts. Master's thesis consists of a theoretical part where principles in the modern poster design are described, as long with the analysis of the poster development from the Industrial revolution period to the present. In the empirical part, two designed and two well-known posters are compared with the historical styles, which led to the conclusions that modern poster design are based on a combination of the principles developed in art history, but are also following new trends. With the method of interview, average and extreme users have made the decision that the posters are popular and effective medium.
