Izgradnja omrežja Eduroam v srednji šoli

Abstract

Diplomska naloga obravnava izgradnjo omrežja Eduroam v srednji šoli. Predstavljene so najpomembnejše tehnologije ter zahteve za vključitev v omrežje Eduroam. Izdelani so bili trije predlogi postavitve komunikacijske opreme. Vse tri postavitve so bile testirane s predvideno opremo. Meritve signala so pokazale, da je sprejemljiv prvi predlog. Večkriterijska izbira je obsegala ponderiranje šestih kriterijev ter njihovo ocenitev v vseh treh predlogih postavitve brezžičnega omrežja. Največje število točk je dobil prvi predlog postavitve, ker je bil tudi cenovno najboljši. Izvedena je bila simulacija brezžičnega prometa, ki je pokazala zadovoljivo prepustnost in stabilnost izbranega predloga postavitve. V nadaljevanju projekta je sledila fina nastavitev parametrov dostopnih točk ter konfiguriranje usmerjevalnikov in strežnika RADIUS. Projekt izgradnje brezžičnega omrežja je bil zaključen v 16 mesecih.

Secondary abstract:	This research addresses the set up of Eduroam wireless network in a secondary school.The most significant technologies and requirements for a connection into Eduroam network are presented. Three alternatives of communication equipment were proposed. All three alternatives were tested. The signal strength measurements indicated that the first proposal was acceptable. Multi-criteria selection based on weighted sum of six evaluation criteria enabled evaluation of proposals. The first proposed setup received the highest score and it's cost was prefered. Wireless traffic was simulated and it was determined that throughput and stability was good enough. In the following stage of the project the fine tuning of the access point parameters and configuration of the routers and RADIUS server followed. The project of the wireless network construction was completed in sixteen months.
