Secondary abstract: | In this seminar we analyse magnetic properties of the canonical spin glass Cu94Mn6. We determine the freezing temperature from susceptibility measurements at low constant magnetic field. We use the Curie-Weiss law to describe susceptibility dependence on temperature at temperatures above the freezing temperature and calculate the effective magnetic moment. We measure magnetization of the sample in magnetic fields up to 5 T and find hysteresis behaviour. From the measurement of the susceptibility in alternating magnetic field we determine coefficient between the change in the freezing temperature and change in frequency of the applied magnetic field. We describe these changes using the empiric Vogel-Fulcher model. |
