Abstract

Javna TV Slovenija in komercialna Pop TV sta glavni televiziji v Sloveniji, ki imata tudi največji delež gledanosti. To velja tudi za njuni osrednji informativni oddaji – Dnevnik na javni televiziji in 24 ur na komercialni televiziji. Obe dajeta velik poudarek prav tema oddajama, saj imata tudi največji delež gledanosti. V diplomski nalogi smo opredelili pojme televizije, njene vloge v družbi, navedli razlike med javno in komercialno televizijo v Sloveniji in svetu. Javna in komercialna televizija imata že v osnovi drugačne cilje: na eni strani služenje javnosti in na drugi strani dobiček, kar posledično vpliva tudi na obe dnevnoinformativni oddaji ter na kriterije, po katerih uvrščata prispevke. Primerjali in analizirali smo regionalne prispevke iz Pomurja, predvajane v Dnevniku in 24 urah, ter ugotavljali, zakaj sta o nekaterih dogodkih poročali obe televiziji, o nekaterih pa le javna oziroma komercialna televizija.

Secondary abstract: Public television RTV SLO and commercial Pop TV are the main televisions in Slovenia with the highest rate of viewership. This is also true for their central informative broadcasts – Dnevnik on public television and 24 ur on commercial television. Both televisions lay a great stress especially upon these two broadcasts which also have the highest rate of viewership. In this diploma work the concepts of television, its role in the society are defined as well as the differences between public and commercial television in the world and in Slovenia are stated. Public and commercial televisions have already in its basis different goals: serving the public on one side and profit on the other side, which consequently influences also the both daily informative broadcasts and the criteria of ranged contributions. Compared and analyzed are regional contributions from Pomurje region broadcasted in Dnevnik and 24 ur, researched is why some events were broadcasted on both televisions and why some were broadcasted only on public or commercial television
