Abstract

Turbo krožna križišča so začeli graditi z namenom zmanjševanja števila konfliktnih točk, ki jih ima »običajno« dvopasovno krožno križišče. Število konfliktnih točk se pri turbo krožnih križiščih zmanjša zaradi načina vodenja motoriziranih udeležencev na območju turbo krožnega križišča. Prav način vodenja motoriziranih udeležencev igra pomembno vlogo pri povečevanju pretočnosti in prometne varnosti vseh udeležencev v prometu ter preprečevanju najhujših prometnih nesreč. V magistrski nalogi je predstavljen vpliv izgradnje turbo krožnih križišč na potek in varnost prometa. V analizo so zajeta vsa turbo krožna križišča v Sloveniji, ki nudijo podatke o prometnih nesrečah po izgradnji, torej tista, ki so bila zgrajena leta 2011 ali prej. Podatki o prometnih nesrečah so zajeti za obdobje treh let pred rekonstrukcijo in za enako obdobje po rekonstrukciji oz. za obdobje vsaj enega leta.

Secondary abstract: Turbo roundabouts were initially built with the purpose of reducing conflict points which a regular two-lane roundabout has. In turbo roundabouts, the number of conflict points is reduced due to the manner of leading motorized traffic participants in the turbo roundabout area. The manner of leading motorized traffic participants plays an important role in increasing traffic flow and safety of all the participants in traffic, and preventing the worst kind of traffic accidents. In this master's thesis, the turbo roundabout construction impact on the traffic flow and safety will be presented. The analysis encompasses all the turbo roundabouts in Slovenia which at the same time offer data on traffic accidents after their construction, that means the roundabouts built in 2011 or earlier. Included are data on traffic accidents for the time period of three years before reconstruction and for the same time period after reconstruction or for the period of at least one year.
