Abstract

Podatki o telesni samopodobi so bili pridobljeni s pomočjo poslovenjene različice francoske verzije vprašalnika za ugotavljanje telesne samopodobe mladostnikov The Physical Self-Inventory - short form (Maiano, Morin, Ninot, Monthuy-Blanc, Stephan, Florent e tal., 2008).

Secondary title: SPORT ACTIVITY AND PHYSICAL SELF-CONCEPT OF FEMALE STUDENTS
Secondary abstract: The purpose of this thesis was to establish, if there are any differences in the physical self-concept of female students with different physical activity and also to establish if and how physical activity affects their physical self-image. In the research participated 161 female students of the Pedagogical Faculty University of Maribor, program Primary school teaching, between the age of 19 and 20. The measurements took place at the primary school Rozman Stane in Maribor and Lesarska šola Maribor. For the measurements there a questionnaire "Gibalna dejavnost mladih" was used. The data about physical self-concept are acquired with the help of the French version of the questionnaire for establishing the physical self-image of the youth, The Physical Self-Inventory - short form (Maiano, Morin, Ninot, Monthuy-Blanc, Florent e tal., 2008). For establishing the differences in the physical self-image between physical active female students was used an analysis of the variant (ANOVA), for the detailed definition of differences the Post-Hoch Scheffe test, and for establishing the connection between physical activity and the physical self-image the regression analysis. The statistical significance was establish on the level of risk p 0,05. The results show that statistically very physical active female students evaluate their own strength higher as female students who are less or medium active. At all other variables of physical self-image (general self-image, physical self-image, endurance, sport competence, physical appearance and physical self image together) there are no statistical characteristic differences between the groups of less, medium and very physical active female students. The results show also, that physical activity in a club statistically explains the differences in the physical self-image of female students, which are very active, while the connection in the other two groups are not statistically characteristic. It has to be emphasized, that this physical activity is organized, structured, has an beginning and an end, it is guided and personalized. And so it has a bigger impact on the physical dimension, motor skills and is connected with the physical self-image.
