Abstract

Secondary title: Electronic banking of population on case of SKB bank
Secondary abstract: Electronic commerce has become a leading force behind the boom in modern society. Without his support, we can't imagine functioning of market rules as we know them now. In the e-commerce plays one of the essential roles of the security and confidentiality of messages that are exchanged. The use of e-commerce brings a lot of transformations and positive consequences to the bank business. Competition on the market of banking services and the development of information and communication technologies have encouraged banks to explore new distribution channels, which would be presented as soon as possible closer to the custumers that are using banking services. The introduction of new marketing channels is also associated with many changes and adjustments in bank business. The current banking services that are now provided in particular, for payments will be joined in the future, by many new services that will offer comprehensive banking for customers. The Internet as an international network, offers support in pursuing today modern banking. With its contribution the banking services are even more closer to the bank customers, they may be used or carried out at any time and from anywhere. With Internet business customers can save time and money, the banks employees can personally turn their focus to treat more demanding customers. In spite of the many benefits offered by modern banking services, the use of electronic banking in Slovenia for example groves slower than in some other North European countries (Sweden, Finland), where the electronic banking is the most widespread. Factors for this status, are among others, doubts about the safety of the business through electronic channels, lack of knowledge of modern technologies, which has as a result of the doubt in using such a bank product, and poor Internet access capabilities. Such a state is bound by the slovenian banks, to further use of to modern banking services.
