Abstract

Glavni cilj diplomske naloge je pokazati energetsko učinkovitost in ekonomsko analizo Fischer-Tropschove sinteze ogljikovodikov glede na uporabljene surovine in nastale produkte.

Secondary title: SIMULATION OF FISCHER-TROPSCH SYNTHESIS OF HYDROCARBONS WITH ASPEN PLUS SOFTWARE
Secondary abstract: The main aim of this study is to show energy efficiency and economic analysis of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis of hydrocarbons depending on used feedstock and resulting products. Aspen Plus® V7.3.2. software is used for the process simulation, which is composed of two parts. F-T synthesis is presented in first part and in second part separation of resulting products of synthesis. Synthesis gas is produced from coal and its H2/CO ratio is later regulated with water gas shift (WGS) reaction. F-T synthesis occurs in an isothermal reactor over cobalt based catalyst. The main products are gasoline and diesel. Side product is gas flow, which is later converted to electricity in a gas turbine. All process conditions and parameters used in simulation are taken from industrial processes to get the most realistic results. In this study is precisely described configuration of each process unit in Aspen Plus® V7.3.2 software.
