Abstract
Teoretična izhodišča: Odvisnost od alkohola je velik problem današnjega časa. Ljudje posegajo po alkoholnih pijačah, da si lajšajo skrbi in tegobe vsakdanjika. Alkoholni delirij, kot posledica odtegnitve alkohola, je problem, s katerim se medicinska sestra lahko sreča na vsakem oddelku. V diplomskem delu smo s pomočjo slovenske in tuje literature opisali odnos do alkohola, alkoholni delirij, travmatološkega pacienta z delirijem ter vlogo medicinske sestre pri pacientu z alkoholnim delirijem.
Namen raziskave: Namen diplomskega dela je predstaviti in opozoriti na pomen pravočasnega prepoznavanja alkoholnega delirija, s čimer lahko preprečimo možne neželene dogodke, ter ugotoviti prepoznavanje simptomov delirija med izvajalci zdravstvene nege.
Metode: V empiričnem delu diplomskega dela predstavljamo raziskavo, ki je bila izvedena med zdravstvenimi delavci na oddelku za travmatologijo v UKC Maribor. Podatke smo zbrali s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, ki je vseboval 18 vprašanj zaprtega tipa.
Rezultati in razprava: Rezultati raziskave potrjujejo domnevo, da zdravstvene delavce delo s pacienti v alkoholnem deliriju bolj obremenjuje kot delo z ostalimi pacienti. Anketiranci so mnenja, da imajo dovolj znanja za obvladanje težav pacientov v alkoholnem deliriju, kljub temu pa si večina želi dodatno izobraževanje o tovrstni problematiki in še posebej o uporabi posebnih varovanih ukrepov pri pacientih z delirijem.

Backgrounds: Alcoholism presents a big social problem of modern life-style. Many people are chasing a solution for everyday's troubles and problems in alcohol. Alcoholic withdrawal and it's typical problems are thus reality that any nurse can be faced with at any ward or department.
In the work attitude of people to alcohol drinking, definition of alcoholism and typical withdrawal syndrome in trauma patient with the role of nurse in it are presented according to the Slovenian and international literature.
Purpose: To present typical clinical syndrome with signs and symptoms of delirium (alcoholic withdrawal) in the manner of early recognition and possible prevention of side (or even harmful) effects and events through medical employees.
Methods: In the empyric part of the work the results of the study at the Department of traumatology in the University Clinical Centre Maribor are presented. Data were collected through the questionnaire with18 closed-type questions.
Results and discussion: The results of the study support the theory that working with patients with alcoholic withdrawal syndrome is much more demanding for the medical employees (nurses).
Participants in the study considered to have enough skills and knowledge to handle such patients but stressed their wish for aditional education in this field and particularly with the use of security measures in the patients with the alcoholic withdrawal syndrome. |
