Secondary title: | SELF-TUNING PID CONTROLLERS IN PROCESS INDUSTRY |
Secondary abstract: | This master's work describes different self-tuning methods of PID controllers that are used in products of manufacturers of equipment for process automation. Theoretical basis of some methods are given and some practical implementations of described self-tuning algorithms are shown. An applicability of some most frequently used self- tuning techniques is tested on different types of controlled processes. In most discussed cases, the comparison of a control loop performance between a manually tuned and self-tuned PID controller is done. Finally, the usage of commercial product is shown in case of controlling of the model of the laboratory system for air flow control. |
