Abstract

Secondary title: INFORMATION SUPPORTED MAINTENANCE OF HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANTS IN CONNECTION WITH PROCESS SYSTEMS
Secondary abstract: The information supported maintenance in energy companies is at this time critical in maintaining the adequate reliability and efficiency of the systems. There are several different solutions available on the market, which provide this kind of support and are more or less adapted to specific environments. In the company DEM, IBM Maximo Asset Management was chosen for this task and has been successfully used for the past ten years. Because the tool offers a wide variety of support for the processes in the company and because its main purpose is to support maintenance, this thesis will demonstrate the possibility of connecting Maximo with the process systems and the additional options which we obtain by doing so.
