Abstract

V tem delu smo na primeru muzejskih eksponatov predstavili in izvedli tehnike 3D digitalizacije, obdelavo podatkov in nadaljnjo uporabo le-teh v virtualnem in realnem svetu.

Secondary title: 3D digitization of cultural heritage exhibits and the potential use of acquired data
Secondary abstract: Concern about cultural and historical heritage is a reflection of the individual and the nation towards the past and present, so we have to respect and nurture it. In doing so modern technologies are increasingly helpful by enabling us easier handling with important objects of our past and presenting it to the general public. In this work we have presented and carried out the techniques of 3D digitization, data processing and its further use in the virtual as well as real world, in the case of museum exhibits. Therewith we wanted to show the possibilities offered by using modern technologies in this field and the diversity of the acquired data usage. A 3D scanner and a camera have been used for collecting data. Appropriate computer programs and proceedings for 2D and 3D display have been used for the virtual use and the object’s presentation. Using additive technologies we produced replicas of digitized objects which we used for the making of soft molds for small series. We experimented with various materials for final products and evaluated the results of our work.
