Abstract

Cilj diplomske naloge je bila eksperimentalna določitev vpliva različnih procesnih parametrov na končno koncentracijo produkta etilenglikola monoacetat (C) v reakcijski zmesi pri aciliranju simetričnega diola s karboksilno kislino ob prisotnosti kislinskega katalizatorja. Reakcija je bila katalizirana v kislem mediju ob prisotnosti žveplove (VI) kisline. Vsi eksperimenti so bili izvedeni v avtomatiziranem reaktorju SYSTAG. Za analizo vzorcev reakcijske zmesi smo uporabili plinsko kromatografijo (GC sistem AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES 7890A). Na osnovi meritev smo dobili koncentracijske profile želenega (C) in neželenega produkta etilenglikol diacetat (D) pri različnih vrednostih izbranih procesnih parametrov. Optimalne vrednosti procesnih parametrov, pri katerih smo dosegli največ želenega produkta C ob minimalni prisotnosti produkta D, so bile: množinsko razmerje koncentracij reaktantov etilenglikola (A) in ocetna kislina (B), rA:B = 3:1, temperatura reakcijske zmesi, ϑr= 5°C, in množinska koncentracija katalizatorja, ckat = 0,02 mol/L.

Secondary abstract: The goal of this work was experimental determination of the effect of various process parameters on the final concentration of the compound ethylene glycol monoacetate (C) in the reaction mixture. The acylation of a symmetrical diol with a carboxylic acid in the presence of an acid catalyst was studied. The reaction was catalyzed in an acidic medium in the presence of sulfuric acid. All experiments were performed in a automated reactor SYSTAG. For the analysis of reaction mixture samples gas chromatography was utilized (GC system AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES 7890). Based on the measurements the concentration profiles for desired (C) and undesired products ethylene glycol diacetate (D) at different values of selected process parameters were obtained. The optimal values of process parameters, where maximal concentration of desired product C with minimal presence of undesired product D are: the molar concentration ratio of both reactants ethylen glycol (A) and acetic acid (B), rA:B = 3:1, the temperature of the reaction mixture, ϑr = 5 °C, and the molar concentration of the catalyst ckat. = 0.02 mol/ L
