Abstract

Učinkovitost reakcije smo ugotavljali z medsebojnim primerjanjem teoretičnega in praktičnega izkoristka reakcije. Teoretični izkoristek smo izračunali stehiometrično, medtem, ko smo praktični izkoristek določili z eksperimentalnimi raziskavami v laboratoriju. Koncentracijo etanola smo izmerili na osnovi meritev s FT-IR spektrofotometrom in z metodo umeritvene krivulje. S programom Aspen Plus smo simulirali separacijski del procesa, nato smo skonstruirali celotno procesno shemo. Na osnovi aktualnih cen opreme, surovin in encimov smo določili letni dobiček in vračilno dobo investicije.

Secondary title: STUDY OF STARCH DEGRADATION IN WASTEWATER OF PAPER INDUSTRY
Secondary abstract: The goal of this work was to find the economic benefits of an industrial process for ethanol production from a starch solution, which has been created as a waste product from paper coating. First the efficiency of reaction has been determined. Based on the experimental data the industrial process was simulated followed by the enonomical analysis. We used three staged reaction, first two stages were starch hydrolysis into glucose with an immobilized enzymes α-amylase and β-glucosidase and last stage was an alcoholic fermentation with an immobilized enzyme of yeast Saccharomyces Cerevisiae. The efficiency of the reaction was determined by comparing the theoretical and practical yield of reaction. Theoretical yield has been calculated stoichiometrically, while the practical one has been determined based on experimental work in laboratory. Ethanol concentration has been measured using the FT-IR spectra and calibration curve methology. A separation part of process has been simulated with the computer program Aspen Plus. The entire process flowsheet has been constructed where reaction and separation were included. Based on the actual prices of raw materials and enzymes, annual profit and payback period of investment have also been calculated.
