Abstract
podjetja, v evropski uniji uporabljali plačilne storitve pod enakimi pogoji.

Unified crossborder payments system (SEPA) implementation project |
Secondary abstract: |
The SEPA project is a big step in establishing a unified economic market in the European Union. Ever since the common euro currency was created, there has been a
tendency for EU inhabitants and companies to use payment services under the same conditions. Establishing such an environment is not only a great technological feat but
also requires quite a few adjustments in other areas, such as in legislation, in the field of standardization, cash operations, etc. Considering the technological advances, it is also not to be expected for the project to actually end once it is officially finished; it is more likely that this is only the beginning of unified operations that will acquire new dimensions with time. In the area of cash
operations in particular, progress is to be expected with regard to the development of alternative payment methods (mobile payments, cards, etc.) with the purpose of
rationalizing the costs of cash operations. The establishment of a unified payment system in such a broad geographic area is a process which never completely ends. |
