diplomsko delo univerzitetnega študijskega programa
Abstract
V diplomskem delu smo obravnavali anaerobni proces čiščenja kompostne odpadne vode. Sestava kompostnih vod se zelo spreminja in je odvisna od sestave odpadkov, tehnike kompostiranja in od zrelosti komposta. Ker vsebujejo kompostne vode suspendirane in raztopljene snovi iz kompostnega kupa, je uporaba anaerobnega reaktorja zelo primerna.

WASTEWATER TREATMENT USING ANAEROBIC SUSPENDED GROWTH REACTOR |
Secondary abstract: |
In the thesis the process of cleaning compost wastewater was discussed. The composition of compost water varies widely and depends on the composition of the waste, composting techniques and the maturity of compost. The wastewater contains suspended and dissolved substances from the compost pile. One of the promising alternatives for wastewater treatment is the use of an anaerobic reactor, since it is suitable for water with high concentrations of suspended solids. The advantages of the anaerobic purification are high cleaning efficiency, the cleaning ability of the high loads, the production of small quantities of sewage sludge and the production of methane as a final product. The aim of this thesis was to determine the physical and chemical parameters of the compost wastewater and on the basis of the obtained measurements and to design the reactor using the necessary parameters. The aim of the thesis was to found out how much gases can be produced, specifically methane and CO2, which is shown by detailed calculations. In the experimental part of the thesis the standardized analytical methods were used, where physical (pH, absorbance, conductivity, turbidity, alkalinity) and chemical characteristics (chemical oxygen demand (COD), total nitrogen, total phosphorus, total suspended matter) were determined. The thesis presents designing process of the reactor with two different flows. At a flow-rate of 10 m3/d, the retention time was 10 days, which requires a reactor having a diameter of 0.73 m. At a flow-rate of 1 m3/d the retention time remained the same, but reactor with a diameter of 0.23 m was already sufficient. The calculations showed that at flow-rate of 10 m3/d should arise 267.3 m3/d of methane. The results indicated that no methane was produced, the bacteria were added, which inhibited the formation of methane. |
