Abstract

Secondary title: ANALYTICAL AND EMPIRICAL COMPARISON OF SELECTED FUNCTIONS OF SOLUTIONS FOR BUSINESS PROCES MANAGEMENT
Secondary abstract: Business process management is of key importance for ensuring competitiveness and agility of enterprises. Nevertheless, many companies do not use this practice. Several factors can be the cause of this. There is no doubt that the introduction of a process approach presents a significant investment for organisations, therefore, it is important to choose the appropriate software solutions that optimally support the business requirements. This choice is rather difficult, since the market has many tools to choose from, which in many ways, more or less efficiently manage business processes. For this purpose, we conducted a research of the market, with the help of which we identified software solutions, as well as tested three of them on an actual case. As a result, we discovered that the open source software solutions are very well developed. Nevertheless, they still have shortcomings, particularly in the field of support of the main standard - BPMN 2.0.
