Abstract

Namen našega magistrskega dela je bil s pomočjo sonokemijske sonde izvesti sonokemijske reakcije med reagenti, ki so vir izbranih prehodnih kovin (mangana, železa, kobalta in niklja) in reagenti, ki vsebujejo žveplo ter pri tem dobiti končen produkt kovinske sulfide. S spreminjanjem reagentov, amplitude in časa sonificiranja smo dosegli sinteze produktov kovinskih sulfidov različnih stehiometrij, prav tako se je spreminjala velikost delcev in izkoristki reakcij. Dokazali smo, da različne prehodne kovine različno reagirajo z reagenti, ki so vir žvepla. Produkte smo karakterizirali z rentgensko praškovno difrakcijo, termogravimetrično metodo, ki nam je dodatno služila kot metoda za izboljšanje lastnosti produkta (boljšo kristaliničnost), ter transmisijsko elektronsko mikroskopijo. V teoretičnem delu je zapisan pregled strokovne in znanstvene literature s področja sonokemijskih sintez kovinskih sulfidov, selenidov in teluridov. Prav tako so opisani kovinski sulfidi, njihove lastnosti in uporaba, saj so zaradi slednjega predmet številnih raziskav, da bi našli preprostejše in varčnejše načine za njihovo sintezo.

Secondary title: Sonochemical synthesis of sulfides with selected period 4 transistion metals
Secondary abstract: The purpose of this work have been sonochemical reactions using sonochemical probe between reagents, which are the source of selected transition metals (manganese, iron, cobalt and nickel) and reagents containing sulfur, thereby to obtain metal sulfides as final products. By modifying reagents, sonicaton amplitude and time we have achieved the synthesis of metal sulfides with different stoichiometry, also varied particle size and yield of the reaction. We have shown that a variety of different transition metals react with reagents, which are a source of sulfur. The products were characterized by X-ray powder difraction, termogravimetric method, that we also used as an additional method to improve the properties of the product (better crystallinity), and transmission electron microscopy. In the teoretical part, there is a written overview of scientific and professional literature in the field of sonochemical snythesis of metal sulphides, slenides an tellurides. We also described metal sulphides, their properties and use, since as a consequence of the latter, the transition metal chalcogenides are subject of many studies with the aim to improve their methods of synthesis.
